For those who have had any interest in the issues surrounding networks, resonance and systems of late, the blog adventures in jutlan is dealing with similar themes in a sophisticated and interesting way. Roughtheory gives a thoughtful review.

I am intrigued by how certain themes or ideas that were current some 40 years ago or more–particularly related to questions of intersubjectivity… from Martin Buber, Gabriel Marcel, to therapeutic practitioners like Harry Stack Sullivan, have been taken up again on these blogs.
And yet, these earlier “precursors,” if that’s what they were (with the exception of Blanchot), are not mentioned.
There is a whole constellation of mid-century writers that would seem relevant to these issues. What is it that connects to a few, and not the rest? Does Blanchot really represent an anomalous development, with not connection to his near contemporaries? What is/was their relationship?
